Jump Rope "How To" with Sidewalk Chalk

Students collaborate to determine how to enter, jump and leave a long rope turned by others and write "how to" steps in chalk on blacktop for other groups to follow. Then groups rotate to directions written by other groups to follow and edit directions. At the end of the period, side walk chalk is then easily "erased" by pouring water on the directions and wiping them off with the bottom of shoes.

Great opportunity to bring Common Core standards to life while focusing on physical education content and maintaining high levels of physical activity. Could be done with a variety of activities.
