    • California Physical Education Self Assessment Checklist by The City Project: Describes what is Mandatory, Allowed and Recommended Policy/Practice based on California Ed Code and best/appropriate practice documents.  Specific Ed Code numbers are cited as a reference.  Can be used as a self-assessment to determine areas of need for a district or school.  Can also be used as a resource to clarify Ed Code.
    • SHAPE America Essential Components of Physical Education:  The Society for Health and Physical Education (SHAPE) America Guidance Document describing essential components for quality physical education programs based on the National Standards and Grade Level Outcomes for K-12.  Note:  This does not reflect California Educational Code and Regulations.
    • SHAPE America Physical Education Program Checklist:  The Society for Health and Physical Education (SHAPE) America Guidance Document that can be used by teachers or administrators to determine the quality of physical education programming.  Note:  This tool is based on the National Standards and Grade Level Outcomes for K-12 and does not reflect California Educational Code and Regulations.
